Working in the hospitality industry while she completed her business and modern languages degrees, Annik put her people skills, her curiosity and her high service standards to the benefit of her internal and external clients and develop leadership skills that quickly propelled her to management in one of the largest Montreal hotels. She then expatriated herself in the Caribbean as representative of a Canadian travel company as well as public relations agent for a consortium of entertainment venues in Mexico.
Back in Canada, she joined an intellectual property firm as comptroller, undertaking an important financial restructuring by means of the design and implementation of a management system for national and international patent, trademark and copyright applications. Following this mandate, she joined a telecommunications multinational alternately as project manager, writer, internal trainer, new product coordinator, all the while working with multidisciplinary and multi-site teams.
At the onset of the technology bubble collapse, seeking to balance her technical aptitudes, her avid technological interests, her interpersonal and communication skills as well as getting closer to her end customer, Annik threw herself in Real Estate, joining the highest performing RE/MAX agency in Québec. As a chartered broker, she developed a loyal clientele distinguishing herself to them and to her colleagues by her vast knowledge base - picked up in the field and via innumerable continuous education trainings - and by her concern for getting get to the bottom of things.
Alongside her brokerage activities, Annik got involved in several initiatives in her agency: arbitration committee, internal communications, Christmas Basket (37 families, 175 people) fundraising leader. Externally, she was the author-editor of real estate newsletters for her own publishing company for 7 years and, since 2015, she is a member of the Centris training team, focusing on the testing and launch of AuthentiSign, a new electronic signature tool.
